Our History

Prior to the incorporation of Residential Resources in 1988, human service agencies funded through the Allegheny County Department of Human Services had no assistance or choice in securing housing for the individuals with disabilities they served. The County recognized the need to make significant changes and, in partnership with leaders in the local banking industry, created our organization as an independent non-profit 501c3 real estate management organization.

Since our founding, Residential Resources, Inc.’s pioneering model of residential property management and housing support services has been widely recognized for high ethical standards, trusted knowledge, and proven results leading to profound impact on quality of life for persons with physical and intellectual disabilities.

After more than 30 years, we continue to uphold our noble mission of clearing the obstacles to high quality housing solutions for individuals who are under the care of our tenant human services agencies.
