One of the services that Residential Resources Inc. provides is working with Trusts to ensure that the properties their beneficiaries live in are well maintained. Once contacted by a Trust, we will send one of our experienced Project Managers out to the home for a full inspection which includes the current condition of the roof, sidewalks, electrical system, and other structural components. The condition of the interior of the home is very important for the health and safety of the occupants so observance of tripping hazards, bathroom accessibility, and any other related issues is documented.
Our project management staff has years of knowledge and experience working with social service agencies so we are particularly sensitive to the needs of individuals with disabilities and their families. Our full inspection of a property will come with our written evaluation and recommendations for any adjustments that we feel should be made in order to create a safe and functioning living environment. We can even perform the work – everything from complex renovations to simply installing grab bars in the bathroom.
We can also evaluate a home prior to purchase to assess its economic feasibility and provide recommendations for needed renovations to accommodate the needs of the beneficiary and their family for the long term. This is done by estimating the life expectancy of the major components of the property and then what the replacement costs would be. This is particularly important for a Trust that has the fiduciary responsibility to maintain an adequate amount of money to take care of the beneficiary over many years.
We want to make sure that you can continue to live in your home for as long as you’d like while maintaining accessibility, safety and affordability. Contact one of our specialists today to arrange for a visit.
